"Right. Left. Then right again. My steps feel funnier each day. Honestly feels like this has been going on forever. I wish I could stumble upon gravel-sized bodies of green natural glass on the sidewalk at least or something. I’d cover them with splashes of molten harmonies and scatter them around in my room as if I was drawing a small-scale map. That would be really nice. If my body produced valuable minerals, I wonder what those would be like? What shape or texture would they have? Would newspapers write about it like a miracle or would I just simply discover that everyone’s system forms minerals like these, we are just not supposed mention them? These songs got stuck in my drawer, kind of like a time capsule from my past. Felt as good a time as any to let them out."

URUBU release text:
"Of all the nocturnal prey birds that occur in Portugal, the asio otus owl is certainly the most difficult to observe. Although not uncommon, the long-eared owl is a very discreet bird and there is no place where it appears regularly. Observing this species therefore constitutes a real challenge for any bird watcher."
Asio Otus is Márton Tóth (Budapest, Hungary), a rare bird based in Lisbon's underground electronic scene. A true self-made artist, Márton is a relentless digi-fetichist. Precise, obsessive with detail, exhaustive sampler collector and manipulator, but most of all, inspired. Intricate narratives are built by blending electronic styles ranging from vaporwave to ambient, trance, footwork, house and so on. Asio Otus creates electronic compositions that are both meditative and danceable, utilizing melodic soundscapes and a diverse ecosystem of inhabiting sounds. Besides the self-released ‘Visible’ album from 2016, Asio Otus has appeared on PERMALINK, Eco Futurism Corporation, Eternal, Orange Milk, Arctic Dub and Farbwechsel. The "album that never existed", SOLITUDEWARE, is now out on Lisbon-based URUBU Tapes. It is a masterpiece by a digital magician, with cover art by Margarida Magalhães (Raw Forest). The cassette release comes with two different cover artworks, while an extra track is exclusive to the digital version. Not to be missed!
